I dont generally go further than 50 mile rides. When I did brighton and back which was +100 miles, that made sense to stop in brighton for half hour before heading home. Otherwise I dont stop. Cake when I get home!0 -

Is there a directory of quality cake purveyors who are bike/lycra friendly?
Now come to think of it that would be my kind of Audax weekend - with prizes for the most cake eaten in different places, the most cake eaten in one place, the most varieties of cake eaten, the most chocolate cake eaten...... He he he - you could stimey a whole load of entrants by eating all the cake in one place!! Tactical cake!
I've had too many Fruit Pastels this afternoon, haven't I?0 -

On the other hand, it doesn't pay to linger at a tea/cake stop for too long otherwise your legs grow increasingly reluctant to tackle the ride home....speaking from bitter experience there!
