Hope Pro 2 Hub - 20mm converters not spinning...

Hi,
I have a hope pro 2 hub with a QR conversion at the minute, I recently bought a set of Pikes with a 20mm maxle and a 20mm hub conversion kit.
The QR hub was running beautifully, no sounds or rubbing at all. Now that I have fitted the 20mm conversion kit, the left hand side turns freely but the right hand side is seized solid - I have had them in and out 3 time and put grease on the touching parts, to no avail.
Is there something simple I should look for? The bearing turns freely when the 20mm adapter is out but as soon as it goes in - nothing!
Help!
Dave

what they dont move on the hub?
or they dont rotate when the wheel is fitted to the fork?
if the latter they dont."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

They don't rotate on the hub, well, one does, the other does not...Ragley mmmBop

they are normally a rattling fit. sounds like either a bearing has not been seated correctly or the C clip is not fitted right."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks - I'll try and refit the c clip again - the thing that confused me was that the QR fitting was working fine, so why shouldnt the 20mm adaptor? If the bearing was shot would that not affect both?Ragley mmmBop

I may have misunderstood. I thought you meant you had the adapter fully in place, but it wasn't turning on the hub - suggesting a seized bearing.
But, Nick is correct, they are a rattle fit, so they should turn regardless - even if the bearings were welded solid.0 -
Probably my ham fisted explanations! Yes, once in place the one adaptor does not turn at all...
I'll try refitting the adaptor and see what happens...Ragley mmmBop

I checked, cleaned and refit - no joy
I took out the other adaptor and tried it on the right hand side - no joy
I hit it with a hammer - it now works beautifully!
With my limited knowledge, it would appear that the bearing on the right hand side wasn't seated properly so there was no room for the adaptor - this apparently wasn't a problem with the QR set up...
Thanks for all the advice!Ragley mmmBop
