Hello All,
Has anyone any experience of buying a bike from Halfords in Aylesbuty please.
I know they get a lot of bad press, but some stores seem much better than others and I wondered, or rather hoped that the Aylesbury store might be one of the better ones.
I've been thinking about a new bike and I'd almost decided on a Cannondale Caad 8. However, I popped into Halfords yesterday for some chain lube for my motorbike and I noticed that the store is now a Bikehut and therefore they stocked Boardman bikes.
I had a shufty at the Boardman road bikes and they do look very good. I've liked the look of Boardman bikes and they get good reviews, but I've always been put off by the Halfords experience so many seem to suffer from.
So, any comments good or bad on the Aylesbury store would be welcome. Alternateively, any good Halfords in reasonable travelling distance that you'd care to recommend?
Thanks in anticipation.

Firstly, don't be fooled by the name, you still get Halfords staff, they're just in a different part of the shop.
Can't comment on the Aylesbury store, but:
The Boardman bikes do get good press and a mate of mine has one and loves it. Just make sure that you thoroughly check out the bike before you hand over your hard earned cash. If you're not sure about checking it over, take someone along who is.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

I've only used the Aylesbury store for a bike rack. The guy who helped me was great, lots of knowledge, went out to check the various bits fitted my car ok before I bought them, etc, but of course it's going to be down to who you speak to on the day.0

I can't help with that particular store but I bought a Boardman Carbon FI road bike about 6 weeks ago and it is a fantastic bike to ride and great value for money - with student discount and nhs discount I got the bike for £795.
I haven't had any problems with the bike and found the staff at my local store to be very helpful0
