Which 27.2 seatpost dropper?

I have finally been persuaded to buy a dropper post and want to get one in time for the Megavalanche. It needs to fit my Santa Cruz Bullit (28.6) but if I get on with it I will swap it to my 27.2 O5 when I get back. Miss Notax raves about her Gravity dropper, which is reliable but looks completely awful (why can't they make it look at least slightly better? ) I am a bike pimp at heart and would prefer something less ugly - not too fussed about the Mega but certainly if I'm going to fit to another bike long term.

Only options seem to be Gravity Dropper, Pure Racing KSi7, Forca Vario (only £79!) and X Fusion Hilo.

I am struggling to find reviews of any except Gravity Dropper. What would you suggest?

haven't read reviews on that exact KS post but read reviews on a couple of their other posts which were all good reviews. to me it would suggest the brand is good, but anyone can make 1 duff product in their range.

safe option go for the gravity dropper other wise go for the KS. not enough info on the others to make me give them a try.

I bought a Forca seatpost for a recent trip to the alps. as my crank bros Joplin would not fit my Kona Coilair, thinking that it didn't cost a lot and it was only for a weeks riding, but I wish I hadn't as after a couple of hours it started sticking either up or down due to dirt getting into the workings of it. This seatpost is cheap, but I wish I had stumped up the extra and got something that worked along the same lines as my Joplin. I am probably going to try and return it, but I don't hold out much hope as it was from Germany.

[for the benefit of Yeehaa] You should obviously sell your bike and buy something that can use a reverb as anything else is not only inferior, but is an insult to MTB and dropper posts in general. [/for the benefit of Yeehaa]

Seriously though, I had this issue with my old Edison, and a 456 before that. I tried the KS and mine was awful, it never worked properly, and was replaced twice before I gave up and sent it back to SS for a refund.

I replaced it with a Gravity Dropper turbo, and I loved it. It was every bit as good as my current reverb, with the added benefit that the cable was fixed length, so you don't end up with a stupid loop when you drop your seat.

If I was going to get one again, I'd stick with the turbo, but get the "multi" model, it's got the added benefit of having a middle option, so you've got up, down, and inbetween.
