So Friday went dirt jumping and tried to get a 360 rotation sorted, was doing ok and landing 180ies easily, got the rotation to 290 and went head over heels resulting in a dislocated shoulder, popped it back in and ordered a brace.

Then yesterday I got a txt from a biking buddie that his wife died on Friday after a long illness, proper shi**er.

Sounds like a $h1t one indeed!

Puts my "should I get Small Block Eights or Halo H-Blocks?" in perspective though...

I'm not sure that's the kind of thing he was looking to hear.

    Think positive!!

Mates wife had the dreaded "c" and it has been coming for a while but your never ready for it, so just gotta keep chin up and all that.

Just got back from the docs and looks like a part dislocation, ripped muscle so hopefully physio should cure it without the dredded op (again)

Let's see. Found out a "mate" had been spreading lies about me behind my back, resulting in massive argument.
Old dear cooks the family a roast dinner, everybody ends up with the sh*ts.
Went out for a ride on sudnay, and got ambushed by a hurricane force wind for 17 miles.

    Yep. Awesome weekend.

Yeah ditto on the bike stuff just on a much smaller scale.
Went out dirt jumping for the first time and got the take off wrong, hit the floor hard to find the bike manualing itself past me! Broke the peak off my helmet, badly sprained/brusied wrist, knee went blue despite wearing knee pads, shoulder is coming up brusied and is now sore to lift above head now. But the main thing the bike was ok.

Hope the shoulder doesn't keep you off for long and yeah that's proper sh!t about your mate :(

And is it actually going to stop raining this week? or even this month!

Das crap. You should have come to Stile Cop with me after all ;) And I've heard the other news can be a blessing when it finally comes around... but it's an aweful shame all the same. All the best to all.

    Friday night drinking - Good.
Saturday morning early ride, 25m up to Cragg Quarry- Good.
Saturday afternoon, didn't get dragged around Asda - Good.
Sunday afternoon, made roast lamb and watched it rain with a few glasses of Rioja - started off fair to middling, ended up good.

A good friend of the family has the big C, I haven't seen him of late but my parents say he looks terrible. Maybe the end is the best way if it cuts out the suffering.

Had a great friday evening ride at the bike park and then two dull days at work followed by today which is a bank holiday monday...at work. 9 holes of golf for free yesterday evening, beer, burger and a few games of fifa with a mate were the highlights.....yay.

  • Parked my car in the mall on Sunday afternoon, had lunch, came out & found a giant dent on the bonnet of my car (possibly due to a lorry reversing blindly). Lost a big chunk of paint too.

But my weekend is nothing compared to yours. I hope things will gradually get better next weekend; for you, your bike buddy & everyone who had a sh*te weekend. Regards.
