Hi,
I've searched the whole internet for this comparision and feedback but I havn't found any.
These two bikes are the ones in question.

They are the same price at the store $1900 here in AUS, there are some places that sell the X3 cheaper as it is 2012 stock vs 2013.
I dont think i'll be doing any upgrading in the near future..
The only differences I can see are the forks, tire size and gears, everything else is the same??
Are the differences in forks a big deal? same with the tires and gears? are there any other differences??

The forks are a fairly big difference but whether they're enough to make a decision on alone it kinda depends on your riding. It's no wonder you're not finding any comparisons though given the different wheel sizes. Can't you test ride them both and decide after?0

Get a test ride. Big wheels don't work for everyone, I haven't tried a 29er that I like yet.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I have an old Trance and a brand new Anthem X29er. Comparing the two I would never go back to 26" wheels as I feel the 29er is more suited to my XC style of riding and it seems to grip better and roll faster. It can handle everything my old Trance did anyway so a no brainer for me. Having said that it's a personal thing as others have said. Only way as has been said before is to try it really.0
