Would I need both 5 wt and 15 wt RockShox Suspension Oil when servicing my Reba forks?

Thanks.

The oil table in the service docs (on SRAM's website) will tell you what oil/grease you need on which bit and how much to use.

Are you just doing a lower leg service?

    Its Reba RL dual air.

Not sure what year and I dont have any docs.

I wanted to do a full service on them, and check condition of innards.

then find out the year and then download the service info. and when i say find out the year i mean it, as there have been some major changes and parts are not interchangeable.

Would there be anything on the forks that would give the year?

Make sure you do it in your garage/shed/outside. I tried servicing my fork in the kitchen once(raining  ) and it stank for about a week afterwards

    Thanks.

You need 5wt suspension fluid for inside the damper in the top of the right leg, according to the 2011 oil chart a Reba with a motion control damper requires 123ml and turkey and blackbox need 133ml. Rockshox 5xt fork oil viscosity is 15.9 cSt@40C so you want something similar, I used Red Line LightWeight Suspension Fluid which is 18.4 cSt@40C although you can mix fluids to get an exact match or suit your preferences. Red Line is meant to be the best suspension fluid but you can use any with the correct cSt, not all suspension fluid stated as 5wt will be the same viscosity so check out the chart in the below link to find out what the real viscosity is.

You need a thicker weight oil in the lowers for which Rockshox recommend 15wt suspension fluid but as it is ONLY for lubrication as doesn't provide any damping then you can use other oils. Fully synthetic multigrade engine oil will work better as a lubricant as it clings to parts better but don’t use high mileage/long life oil as it may contain seal swellers. I used Halfords diesel fully synthetic engine oil as I already had some but if you need to buy it get Mobil 1 which is meant to be the best. I’m sure someone will chip in and say you shouldn’t use engine oil in the lowers but there’s nothing in it that will harm the forks and it works better plus Enduro Fork seals recommend using it and they know a thing or two about forks.

Serviced them today, really easy with pdf guide.

Insides are fine, so just cleaned it and added new oil.

    Thanks for help.
