The inevitable which bike question

After some scumbag stole my Spesh FSR XC a couple of weeks back, I'm now in the market for a new bike.
I've got a budget of around £850, I don't want to stretch it if I don't have to and if I can reduce cost I would.
I would largely be riding road and towpaths to begin with but as I get fitter I'd like to head out to Llandegla again so it's got to be ready to take a little punishment.
Bottom end of budget is the Voodoo Hoodoo or Bokor but I'm concerned over the Suntour forks and whether they would be upto a trip round Wales next year.
After that I've got these on my radar
Specialised Rockhopper £800 http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/rockhopper-comp-2011-mountain-bike-ec024979#features
Cube LTD £850 http://www.stif.co.uk/mtb/product/cube-ltd-bike-2012/10185
Fuji Tahoe £900 http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fuji/tahoe-10-2011-mountain-bike-ec024663#features
Norco Nitro 6.2 £900 http://www.evanscycles.com/products/norco/nitro-62-2012-mountain-bike-ec032032#features
The Cube is the favourite for me at the moment, it appears better specced than the Specialised and as I've had 2 Specialised bikes in the past I'm thinking a change could be in order purely to shake things up.
The discounts on the Fuji and the Norco though have thrown in a curve ball as I'm thinking a good deal could be in the making but I know nothing about these brands nor if they actually produce good bikes as I've not found any reviews anywhere.
I would have a test ride on all bikes before I commit but I am happy to defer to the greater knowledge found on these forums regarding if any of these bikes has the potential to be a lemon.

The Raidon forks hold up fine, though are a little flexy.
The Cube and Norco seem to offer the best value, but I'd also look at the Boardman Team/0 -
What about this? Its bang on your budget delivered and it has a spec you cant get here for less than a grand
