A little while ago someone posted a link to a video of a guy descending a mountain on a fixed gear. Black and white film, foggy at the start. I've got it in my head that it was an Italian descent?

I'm trying to find it again ... but can't.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

if you warched the link you could try searching your computer using 'History'? search for youtube addresses.

  • Good shout. I can only seem to check up to a fortnight's history though. It was a few months ago. Never mind, I might stumble across it again.

Cheers Cleat, but I didn't post anything about it - I just followed the link that someone else posted. Checked your links but not in there. Thanks though, appreciate it.

greasedscotsman - not quite whatI was looking for, but thanks for the suggestion.

I thought I could leave it, but this now may turn into an obsession until I find it again!

Yes, I was fully aware the clip I posted isn't in black and white and the guy isn't riding a fixed, but that doesn't mean that the OP's memory od the clip is exactly right, hence posting the clip. At least I was trying to help...

I appreciate the effort! You've given me a chuckle too, which is always a bonus. The 2 main things I remember was the guy rode a fixie (which I think was the main point of the film) and it was in black and white and then I read your response - I was fully aware the clip I posted isn't in black and white and the guy isn't riding a fixed - it's got me chuckling again now, just typing this!

Genuinely though, thanks for the effort - your help is appreciated.

Hmm, I am very disappointed in the people on this forum. Surprised nobody has posted something like this...

"Is this the clip your looking for?

OK, I know it's not black and white and it certainly isn't in Italy, but I think they are riding fixed..."

Only thing in common - its a descent by bike in Italy (the famed Scanuppia with passages at 45%....), on one wheel, in colour and a mountain-bike - so certainly not what you are looking for, but well worth viewing.
