Just wondering if anyone knew what the problem might be before I start messing, bleeding etc.

Basically there's no resistance in the remote lever and the seat post won't go up or down. The post is partially dropped and holds firm where it is but will not budge?

Had a search but can't find the answer and sick of taking things to LBS's who go cha-ching ;-)

Thanks

Can't see how it'd be the air pressure or the post would drop. Has to be the hydraulic side of it.

Nothing happened that I can think of, just stopped?

Sounds like it needs a bleed. I haven't had this happen so don't know for sure, but it doesn't seem an unreasonable assumption.

  • yeah i'd give it a bleed and see if that sorts it out.

Sounds like the barb could be cracked or broken (mine did this)

Can you lift the seat up by hand and does it stay there?

How old is it, mine has a 2 yr warranty so I sent it back to Sram when it went wrong.
