Cannondale CAAD 10

I have been looking around for a bike in the £1k / £1.5k price range and i kept coming back to the CAAD 10 but as all the other road bikes i have ever owned had Ultegra or Dura Ace I was a bit skeptical getting a bike with 105 and to be honest the team colors was not my first choice.
So i received the bike on Thursday got it built up and fitted a few extras namely a Cateye Strada wireless computer Elite Custom bottle cages with matching bottles, Shimano 105 SPD pedals and finally a Topeak aero wedge saddle bag.
I will be swapping the wheels on my current bike over when i get them back from the mechanic they are away to get trued they are Mavic Open Pro rims with Ultegra hubs laced with DT Swiss black spokes and fitted with Continental Ultra-gator tyres.
Took the bike for a quick spin last night for about half an hour and it is a smooth solid ride. I am also glad i got the team colors as it looks really well in the flesh.
I will report back when i get out on it in the coming days.

I put coloured tape on all my seatposts so i can check if they slip down, my bike buddies think im crazy but an old bike mechanic that i used to ride with give my that tip years ago.

Lovely looking bike. The unobtrusive spoke protector is very wise-my step son hadn't got one of these and trashed his derailleur , hanger and bent a couple of spokes for good measure when his adjustment wandered off true.

Just put a dot of Tippex on the post at the rear, looks less dorky

Whats the weight of the fully built Caad 10? How does it compare to Carbon?

Nice looking bike, I changed the tyres on mine, the Luganos became paper thin and vulnerable to punctures sooner than I had hoped.

Get rid of the tape - I put a dot of Airfix modle paint on the front ofthe seat post so I can see it when riding along. Doesn't come off. Use the end of a WD40 straw to apply. Unobtrusive perfect round dot.

Also dump the stupid plastic thing behind the mech - its shyyyte.

Apart from that and the suitcase under the seat (tip: use the pockets in yout jersey), its very cool: I used to have a CAAD 3 that lovely to ride and have always regretted selling it - this looks like it will be well smart.

No white garage door?
Small chain ring?
Granny gear?
Dork disc?
Cranks not lined up?
Valve stems not lined up?
Wireless computer sensor on forks usually fitted on front of the leg for safety?

Otherwise, it looks good!

Good tip for marking the seatpost, will do it. no call to dump the plastic thing behind the mech as i am getting new wheels and selling the ones on the bike. look above, not one for carrying things in my jersey pockets, just a personal thing.

Beautiful bike! Love that the saddle has the green that matches the little touches on the bike. Normally I like the handle bar tape to match the saddle. However for my taste, the bike is a little too white since the top top is all white. I would put black handle bar tape on it to accent the Cannondale wording that is in black.

When the white tape get's dirty it will be replaced with black tape. Thanks for you comments

I have one of these too and they are really nice. When you replace the bar tape consider getting some catalyst green tape from bontrager. I've got some on mine and it looks the bees knees. If you'd like to see how it would look like that im happy to send you a photo.

Anyone here know the correct name / code for the green color paint on a CAAD 10 ?

I have green tape on my caad 8 and I think it makes it look much more distinctive rather then black most have
