in only my 3rd ride with my rockshox recon golds tk, last night the seal below the stanchion decided at some point to come loose and it ended up near the brace. Looking at where the seal should be a lot of dirt has ended up where the seal should be. Now would it be ok just to give a good clean etc and see how it goes or is it going to be a strip down and service with new seals?
im not really happy about it and it never happend to my crappy suntours which i had for a year.

Yeah they are new, I've emailed on one it should be interesting to see what they say.0 -
Would you humour me by putting up a picture of what's happened?
Just to rule something out.0 -

I did actually take some pics
I've bought some juice lube fork spray today and have managed to clean out and re- seal but I just hope no internal damage, I don't think the seal was properly seated in the first place, hope it stays in place.0 -
Just don't forget to keeo those foam rings wet with oil (15wt I think) to lube the bushes.0

I know what you were thinking....
Push the seals back in and hopefully the should be ok...0 -
Did you contact OnOne? What did they say?
They should replace them really. I certainly wouldn't be happy that the insides of the fork were in good nick after having the seal pop off like that.0 -
Mine did that before a warranty service. I did push it down hard, but something kept blowing it back up.0

Fork juice is to spray on the stanchions only. You need 15wt fluid for the lowers and foam rings.0
