Would it be an idea to make some sub sections?

and have them divided by county?
so it is easier to find people riding in your area?

No, this forum already has a mental number of sub categories, the last thing it needs is more IMO!

I can sort of see merit, if folk are looking for a specific ride, but I'd have thought most would still end up trawling through dozens of threads and would be best searching, irrespective of whether there was an additional 'level' of sub-fora.

Could get confusing as well, I mainly arrange in London Calling, but as there are very few mountains in London, we mainly ride in Surrey and Berkshire, a bit in Hampshire, the occasional trip to Kent, Oxforshire and Buckinghamshire and regular trips to Wales.
The regulars also live in all different places, London and surrounds.

Could change it to something like North/South/Wales/Scotland/Other?

I am just putting the idea out there.

Is there a need is there a want?

Would it be an idea to have sub fora for the trail centres so people can easily see if there is a ride at the weekend and get on it?

If it is not needed nothing will happen as you all seem to manage fine.

Possibly a seperate one for trail centres would be interesting. But apart from that I voted no.

Where do the midlands fit in there? Also would there need to be a separate one for Scotland or is that just counted as North? It's a pretty big place...
  • A good idea but I think by county is too much.
Better areas as Compo suggested, but have Scotland seperately like Wales. Or even North West, Midlands and South East, etc.

England (South, Midlands, North), Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. 6 categories would be good.

    There are 86 traditional counties
    - 39 in England
    - 13 in Wales
    - 34 in Scotland
