Westbrook cycles - pre-assembled?

Hello, thinking about buying a 2012 SuperSix 105 from Westbrook.
However, when asking a LBS to match the £1500 offer price, they said they'd do it for £1599 best deal they can do as buying from Westbrook I'd have to build the bike myself and then I'd have no warranty as I'd need it built by an approved Cannondale dealer.

Anyone got any insight?

Most I thought I'd have to do is fit pedals, bars & wheels? - is this the case?

Usually the bars are already fitted, just a case of turning them straight again.

I spent 20-30mins assembling 2 different bikes I purchased from Westbrook, one of which was a Cannondale...They seem like great guys on the phone, I cannot believe warranty would be an issue.

Yeah I think the warranty story is a crock, just a way for them to keep some margin in it.
Does that mean you can never adjust your bars stem or seatpost unless you go to an approved dealer ?

Was just in there today, they aren't too far from me. Very helpful. Why don't you ring them just to find out how much you have to do to it once it arrives?

Alternatively, is the extra hundred quid to your lbs worth it for the occasional bit of help you may need and get without charge?

I bought from Westbrook Cycles a few days ago, just had to put on the front wheel, front brake the handlebars and tighten the headset, simple really

No, I think I much prefer the Team Liquigas colouring.
