Recently joined this forum after getting started back into biking so thought best I stick a thread up for my 2007 Mongoose Tyax Elite. I only got it as a bit of a commuter/blast about but sadly it only got used a few times before being kept in the garage and having its yearly ride.

I'm now giving it another go, so after any advice what I should update/grade and I shall go from there! It's totally stock as now but believe the brakes should be upgraded and after reading a few threads I am looking towards the Shimano Deore M595 with 180/160 rotors?

Here's the spec and a photo I rudely stole off the internet as mine is at the bike shop having a service.
