Recently started learning to ride track again, got to admit there's something addictive about only turning left.

2012 Specialized Langster 58cm (completely standard aprt from...)
Deda Newton Shallow Bars (steerer tube will be cut down when I get it right)
FSA 110cm stem (whilst I am getting the fit right)
Fizik Antares Saddle
Navigator Pista wheels (borrowed from a mate)
84 inch gear.

    Most of the spec

Lovely looking track bike, I keep thinking of getting one for the Manc velodrome.

Ha ha, yep correct, standard apart from everything. :D

Gotta admit it rides well on the track, I am thinking of upgrading to the S-Works version for next year if I get into it properly!

    Very nice indeed.

Wouldn't mind one for commuting/general pootling.

The standard gearing is 84"+. Pretty thigh straining for a quick getaway from the lights, I can tell you. Definitely not a pootlebike!

I have one (standard apart from changed track bars to road bars). I even changed my commute route for a longer, less stop/start one!

    Nice bike JesseD. :)

    Apologies, I meant a standard, off-the-peg langster.

(I'm going to sound like a massive pedant, but 84" is standard off the peg gearing. Sorry JesseD)

Nope you are 100% right, never said it wasnt I think.

It is too big for the road where I ride 70" but I think the 84" gear is a tad too small for the track, or so I find.
