I have got an X7 back derailleur on my Rockrider 8.1, can you buy an OEM mech hanger as a spare? If yes can you recommend a site for it, thanks.

it does not matter what the mech is,

you need one for the frame.

    Decathlon for a start.

Decathlon do sell them but they're a "workshop" line and not part of the normal stock so won't be on the shelves. Just call your nearest store and check they have them in stock but they should do. I replaced mine a few months ago and it was about £7.99 if I remember correctly. If you can, I'd take your old one in to compare with just to make sure it is correct. They nearly gave me the wrong one. Easy to do as they do only differ slightly between the models.

Sounds like a good idea. I am due to go to Decathlon anyway to get my back derailleur replaced so I will ask the guy. Saying that if they replace the hanger too (which I think they will) I may ask the guy if I can get the old one back and have it as a spare. Thanks for that, at £7.99 it is pretty reasonable.
