Hi all.
Off to Peak District in August. Looking for some nice routes around Millers Dale. If you know of a route could you plot the route on a map like bikehike for me would be appreciated.
Thanks Brad
As above... I'm off with the family to Hartington (so 15 miles south by road). We'll be doing some of the old railway trails (High Peaks, Tissington, Manfold) but I'm interested in finding some decent singletrack for son #2 (age 10, but a decent rider) to play on - as well as more challenging stuff if I get to go it alone.
Aye good book, right where Millers Dale is (lovely area!) theres the Cheedale Wye Valley ride from that book, done it couple of years ago and it's a nice route lots of good singletrack, gets up to Monsal Head where there is an awesome view across the valley and a good pub at the top, usually packed for the 2 reasons stated!
Have been doing a bit of looking around and found this http://www.sharemyroutes.com/search/def ... ountryid=1
Have a look around Bartimaeus and see if you can find some routes.
Also off with family have a 6 year old son who is very keen hope to find something for him to.

Millers dale is a great place to be based with the family loads to do miles and miles of Bridleways /UCR's /and byways invest in a OS map of the area and plan your own day out ... http://www.shop.ordnancesurveyleisure.c ... 0319241110

I have ordered a copy as it does look good - and with Amazon's 'look inside' you can see what you are getting! I'll also get the obligatory OS map - and now that I've discovered that there's a 'Strava Mutiple Ride Mapper' add-on to see all posted rides that use any given segment, I'll have a look to see what the local Strava users are riding (though all the local segments are on roads ).
