New shoes, new cleats..........arghhhhhh

My loving kids, via my wifes Visa card, bought me a pair of Specialized Road Expert shoes for fathers day. The reason they bought these was because the white and blue matched my bike which is a result because they are a top pair of shoes, far comfier than my old Shimano ones.
My problem is that I just can't clip into the pedals (105's) I am worse now than when I first went clipless last year. The funny thing is though is that with my old shoes I always found using my right foot to unlip/clip in far easier than my left (I could use both feet if I needed to)
Now my right foot more often than not just slides off while I can clip in perfectly with my left nearly every time. :?:
Going by the marking underneath the shoe, both cleats are set up identically. I just don't get it :?: :?:

might be a problem with the pedals on new cleats - have you tried using the old cleats from your old shoes?0
