i was wondering earlier, maybe those of us who spent a lot of time riding BMX and such grew up being used to a very low saddle?
I know when I first started messing about on proper bikes, I always had the saddle slammed, because most of what we were riding was a sort of trials - trying to get onto or over boulders and banks and so on. There was no need at all to have a saddle, really, it was just there as padding in a crash.
Maybe folk who grew up actually riding trails and such more than messing about, tend to want a higher saddle?
