Thanks for all the input you guys have given me with questions about bikes and equipment for my upcoming charity Tour de France next month (5 mountain stages of the Tour de France).
I've been looking for a more suitable bike to replace my 80s Raleigh racing bike and I've found a cube gtc agree (2011) for around the £900 mark and cannondale carbon 6 (2010) for about the £750 mark, but don't know which would be the better choice. All I know is that the Cannondale won bike of the year in 2010. Any ideas?

Either would do but :
1. Which fits you better ? Have you sat on these bikes ? Are they in stock ? Ordering a bike can be a long process.
2. What gears do they have - do you know how low you will need to go ?
You have about 2 weeks before your challenge and you've not even chosen the bike you will be riding ?0 -
I got the Cube in the end. My financial situation determined when I got my bike, unfortunately. The thing is a flying machine compared with my Raleigh. Can't wait!0
