Budget light wheels !!!

Is the title a contradiction in terms do such things exist ?

Im basically trying to lose a bit more weight from my bike( a gt sensor 4) as ive started doing more long distance rides and hills and figure this is where ill lose the most weight and notice the difference.
I noticed a big difference when changing the tyres the bike came with, which weighed 750 grams to nobby nic evo s (500 grams) so figure lighter wheels will help again.

However due to being a poorly paid public servant and 2 children funds are limited to £150 to £200 for a pair !
The wheels on my bike at the mo use gt s own all terra hubs and alex td24 rims not sure of the weight but after looking on the net they sound a bit chunky.

Ive been looking at the following any thoughts or others to recommend .

The fulcrum are ok, usually come out a bit heavier than claimed though - I think the 1805g is for the centrelock versions, they are about 1850g.

thanks for the tip i looked at something similiar but discounted them as they where £300 plus but at £220 definitely worth the extra and look good too which is always good .
Whats the difference between the crest and flows rims though besides obviously weight , i assume one is more downhill stronger and the other xc ? im 14stone ish and ride mainly llandegla , marin trail or penmachno weekly at the moment so occsional drops etc although id be willing to sacrifice strength for lightness and dont mind occasional fettling .

Pretty much - the Flow is sort of a DH 'lite' rim, whiel the Crest an XC. Still tough though - but there is the Arch EX which sits in between at 400g ish.

The shop has great service, and my wheels arrived to Austria in a 2-3 days. I am still waiting for them to get here in Skopje with a friend though

Im gonna go for the crest wheels just have to work out which out what colour rims and hubs now to go with a black bike

The black ones are also 20 g lighter per rim..

ActionSports often do cheap, light builts on their Fun Works hubs. Or get some A2Z hubs, some cheap Olympics from Merlin and some Revolution spokes and build yourself.
