Tapered headset bearing replacement, generic sizes ?

Gents,

I've got a Giant XTC 29er with a tapered headset that's a bit rumbly, however don't have the sizes of bearings etc in advance to get them odrered.

Are they a generic size etc for tapered headsets ?

    Giant have been known to do their own thing.

    If it complies to the headset standards the sizes can be found on the headset standards pages and Parktools.

    Apparently i have a new Headset now :)

    Dropped bike at my mates for Morzine next week... he bought the bits and fitted when i was at home :)
