hope pro 2 stuck free hub

free hub is knackered after a few years of abuse and neglect and is stuck on the axle and hub body. i have watched the hope video...mine does not pull apart, and i have tried the trick with a 2p in lock ring, it only bent the coin!

two options
1 use a gear puller with the first few gears attached
2 hammer it all out from the disc side

any help or ideas apprecieted

    Bit worried about damaging other bits if I go with option 2 ?

    i had to do it with my own pro 2. Use a rubber hammer or use a block of wood on the end of the axel and you'll be fine so long as you're not trying to bray it into next week.


    BTW with this method you have to hit the axel from the freehub side and it will all come loose then, all you have to do then is knock the axel back in, so its option 2 with a bit of modification :lol:

    Borrowed a friends 3 arm gear puller and it worked a treat. Either way jobs a good'n.
