Looking at replacing my first set of brake pads since buying my bike. Looking at advice on a good set to buy?. They will be running on Shimano Ultegra brakes.

Many thanks.

Swiss Stop pads generally pretty good, as here:

But Shimano ones usually ok if you get the better ones, Dura Ace or Ultegra...

+1 for Swiss Stop - they might seem a little expensive, but brakes and tires are the most important bits of your bike so spend wisely.

    '09 Enigma Eclipse with SRAM.
'10 Tifosi CK7 Audax Classic with assorted bits for the wet weather
'08 Boardman Hybrid Comp for the very wet weather.

+1 for Swiss Stop for me as well.
Both the Swiss Stop and Kool Stop are much better than the standard pads, but I favour the Swiss.

And remember when you see the more expensive price of the SwissStop, that's for 4 pads :D

Ive got a set of clarks 55mm multi compound pads, and rate them A+. 8.99 for a pair with a set of replacement pads.

    This.

Have them on my summer bike, and have just put them on my winter bike. Ace brake pads.
