    The right one for the riding you do that will suit the bike within budget.

    I'd got for a Marzocchi 888 with a steel coil spring, spaced down to 130mm travel, with the rebound damper removed.

    Tbh I'm more of a roadie but I'm wanting more from my MTBing.

    What about coil Sektors (140 mm) they look like they might be the ticket. Can you explain the spacing down referred to? I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty but are these jobs DIY?

    Just so this thread doesn't get totally silly, the answers so far are facetious.
    What is the bike, what sort of riding do you do, what is your budget, what forks are on the bike at the moment, wht front hub do you have. Etc.
