Hi I'm new here
I haven't owned a mtb for about 7 or 8 years now but used to be a real enthusiast. I've been dreaming of re-entering the world of cycling for some time but have never had the disposable cash to buy something that I really like........ until recently.
I've got some redundancy money coming my way and have been looking at spending about a grand on a hardtail. The one bike that really stands out to me based on value for money is the Cube Ltd Race. Nothing else seems to get anywhere near it in terms of components.
Any thoughts on this bike or suggestions of other rides would be great.
Thanks

Depends what sort of riding you want to do really. Are you after a racy hardtail like the Cube? Or something more forgiving?0

Previously when I was riding regularly I rode long XC trails mostly through the Chilterns and Berkshire. Not so much downhill but I did enjoy the odd lower grade tracks.
I guess I want something that's lively but will do what I want it to...... does that make sense?
Sorry to be vague0 -
Makes good sense! Sounds like the classic XC bike is what you need, and the Cubes are good choices. Though the Boardman Pro HT is just as good, if not better, and reduced sale bikes can trump even that.
