Hi there,
I'm after some advice on getting a cyclocross bike. I am a novice in this subject therefore any advice would be valuable. I would be looking to use the bike for commuting but also odd weekends along canal paths etc. I'm buying the bike through the halfords cycle2work scheme. I was looking at Edinburgh Cycles Revolution Cross Sport however Halfords doesn't let you get Independent stores own brand bikes.

Halfords have said that they can order in bikes from MOST suppliers.
Could someone recommend me a cyclocross bike which will meet my requirements? I understand that the price i've given is quite low however I don't want to spend loads on a bike that I may not use later down the line.
Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend looking on ebay tbh. I bought a 2008 Kona Jake last year, in mint condition, for a smidge over £300.0
