No names, no, but I guess I have given it a personality as I will often give it a friendly pat as I pass it by.

I have always thought it bizarre and irrational to name inaminate objects. Therefore, no I don't.

So what do you call it then
Racing is rubbish you can\'t relax and enjoy it- because some bugger is always trying to get past.

I did the "friendly pat" thing to one of my bikes only yesterday and wondered whether this was normal. :D

Yeah, my bikes have been named, sort of, by my daughter. She called my mountain bike Aby, (it's a Genesis Abyss frame), which was confusing because my daughter is called Abi. I now call my daughter Bernard to avoid confusion. Then there is the road bike, which is just called the road bike. Then there is my commuter which was an old mtb frame, but I have road wheels and gearing (sort of) on it. My daughter said it must be a mountoad cause it's a bit of each, so now it's just referred to as the 'toad.

In this company I feel it's safe to confess.....

Bikes that I used to own and have sold on, I often think ..."eeeh I wonder how they are doing"

It's not just me then. I lean my commuter against my MTB as I think they like to be together. I also felt guilty taking the pedals off the MTB (thereby disfiguring it) to put on the commuter so I bought a new set for the commuter (ones more suitable for commuting, it wasn't all daftness).
