Got a problem with my roof rack in that the back sits too far over the back of my car and prevents me from opening the boot all the way.

Anyone had an issue like this before, any suggestions? Are their any fork mounted roof racks that sit further forward?

Any help appreciated!

Dean

Turn it the other way around?

Nice idea, probably would work to be honest but will look pretty stupid as well.

No other option other than changing I for something else.

I find it works fine in the middle of two 591s

Elite San Remo, they fit directly onto the roof bars and work well.

I've just got 1 of these for my car and got the same problem. I've tried my bike on and realised that I don't need full length of the bottom rail so I'm going to cut it down with a hacksaw and then it won't interfere with my tailgate.

either turn it around - no issue with that, or cut off the excess as said above. The plastic end cap pulls off and a hacksaw will be enough to trim it. I run mine the other way around all the time...
