A beautiful sight, dilemma???

On my Sunday ride, saw a beautiful sight, a broken down quad bike!! Gave him a cursory glance as I flew past on my 2 wheels. Some time later on my way back he had broken down again about half a mile from his original point. Didn't help or should I have done??
Please help, new to this game but I want to upgrade from a hybrid to a road bike. Can any one recommend a good road bike@£700?

    Are you a mechanic and know your way around a quad bike engine, if the answer is no then why would you stop? How can you help?

    Must say when I saw the thread title it'd be how long you should spend staring at an attractive lady before you run the risk of crashing into whatever obstacle you failed to observe due to said ogling.

    I can't understand why the sight if somebody broken down by the side of the road is such a beautiful sight.
    Or do you just enjoy seeing people in trouble.
