Morning all,
Any thoughts on the Moda Rubato Ultegra?
http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/produc ... ?&id=17547
I'm looking for a new bike as my current steed is too small. Other than the marmite paintjob, what do you think to the bike?
- Is the geometry too agressive for sportive rides?
- Should I be looking for carbon frames in this price point?
- Anything else?
Cheers..

The bike looks good and would be great for sportives but not so great for commuting as you can't easily fit mudguards.
Why don't you take a look at this article about sub £1000 road bikes...

I doubt you will get a carbon fiber bike at this price point but i think a few do exist now. This is covered in the article above.0 -
Thanks for the link to the article. I'll be using my Boardman Urban to commute so this will just be used for evening / weekend rides with friends
I'm struggling to find a review of the Ultegra version. Should there be any other bikes around the £1200 mark I should be comparing it to?0 -
Aluminium bike for around £1200 - lots.
Although my vote (un suprisingly to many on here) goes with Cannondale.
Either a CAAD 8 or CAAD 10 depending on what you want to spend and which suits your needs/fits you best.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
If the only reason you're getting a new bike is due to the frame of your current bike being too small have you thought of just getting a bigger frame?0

it's a good excuse to get some new tech with n+1 and sell the other bike as a complete (from 2005.)0
