How much rain - Lammermuirs?

After a weekend of rain I took advantage of today and drove 50miles after work to the Lammermuir Hills. What a great night and fantastic ride as I dont do this route often but always enjoy it. On my way back to Dunbar the road from Duns to Gifford was closed to traffic - but okay for cyclists and 20miles of no traffic over the moors was excellent.
However I could not help but notice how much debris had been washed onto the roads and even some parts of the roads had been washed away. How much rain actually feel here over the weekend as I have never seen anything like it ever.
