Crash - Carbon Surface Damage

Couple of days ago had a run-in with an unobservant taxi which resulted in my going over the handlebars and sliding along the floor with my Moda Stretto. Dont think the bike took any major impact and the only impact was me against the car.
There is however some damage from the bike sliding along the floor. At the back of the bike, the solid piece of carbon which acts as the buffer between the rear cassette and the quick release skewer (where the two rear forks meet) has had the laqeur and top layer of carbon scraped off.
Is this likely to weaken the part and warrant taking for a proper check, or will a bit of epoxy resin over the top suffice?
Thanks,
Ben

Hard to say without seeing it, can you post a couple of pictures up?
If it was me, and I had any doubt I'd get my LBS to have a look.2019 Ribble CGR SL

Are you claiming against the taxi ? I'd play safe and get it checked out.0
