I've just brought my first carbon frame (Meta 55), rather excited to be collecting her on Saturday. Before I head out, have you got any advise on protecting the frame? I'll move the swing arm protector (chainstay protector) from my current bike, do I need to consider any other protection (ie downtube)? Any advise would be welcome

Cheers

    ^basically what he says

I got an IBIS tranny (oooh, suits you .... etc) a couple of years ago and gave it the full copter tape treatment but tbh it is more than man enough for the job.

The only other place I would look is between tyre and chainstays. If you ride the sort of muddy sh1te that can fill that void and/or run pretty big tyres that don't leave much clearance you could get scouring on the inside of the stays. copter tape in there and a regular(ish) visual check (eg whilst cleaning) will make sure that doesn't turn into a problem

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day
