I brought a set of these earlier in the year for the HT now i want a set for my FS however according to CRC they've been discontinued, i thought these were the new models to replace the old m665 brakes so it seems very strange shimano are not making them anymore can anyone shed any light on whats happening??
You can still get the XT brakes but obviously they're more money for essentially the same performance which to me is not good value. There are still places that have them in stock but for how long?
Do shimano plan on bringin out yet another new disc brake to replace the m666 disc?

They have the european config models still RH rear LR front (personally i prefer it this way around). I seriously doubt Shimano have stopped these already, especially after all the good press.
£128.95 from the germans though. ^^0 -
out of stock maybe ... but doubt they are discontinued!?0

The M675 is exactly the same as the M666 brake, except for the styling has been updated to bring it into line with the latest SLX groupset. Madison list the brake as being available beginning of July.0 -
Shimano expected the new M675 brakes to be in the shops by May 2012, I think the changes are only cosmetic.0

So there's a new redesign coming, i thought it very odd shimano would stop such a well liked and praised brake. I spose this mean they'll jack the price up though unfortunately :roll:0
