I am attempting to service this fork myself but I am coming up short. I have been through the SRAM videos and they all seem to show how to service an Air fork.
It's a Rockshox Tora 302 SL Coil and when you press down on it, it doesn't pop back immediately - and thus throws me over the bars.

I have worked out that I can take it apart by unscrewing the bolts at the bottom and then the fork should separate. I'm expecting oil to come out. Its been suggested they might just need cleaned inside and topped up with oil but question is how do I do this?

CRC only sell one type of oil. How much do I put in and how?

Thank you

so have you downloaded the manual for your year of fork? have you downloaded the oil chart for your year of fork?

if not do so or provide the year and someone will link you to the info.

    Thanks Nick.
I went through the site and couldn't find the correct manual. One came close but it appeared to cover all forks and I didn't know what to limit it to.

    Its a 2009 Rockshox Tora SL 302 from this bike: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/spe ... 7#features

Do I need to buy a kit of syringes to get the oil in?

So I think this might be the one:

Is this saying for my fork, depending on whether it is the Coil or Coil U-Turn, put 20 or 30ml in the lower leg and nothing in the upper leg?
Is the upper leg the silver part of the fork and the white the lower part?

It depends what sort of "service" you want to do. Have a read of:

It has info for all forks so just pick the bits that are relevant to yours.. Then think about getting a service kit from TF Tuned (top kit on the list):
    http://www.tftunedshox.com/Catalogue/TF-Tuned-Service-Kits/TF-Tuned-Refresh-Service-Kits

That said, have you checked your rebound isn't fully on as that would obviously massively slow down how quickly it "pops back".

A basic lower leg lube is an easy job although a couple of taps with a hammer more difficult than just undoing the bolts to separate the legs...

Thanks v.much for the help. Serviced the lowers last night and it seems to have done the job for me - now providing more feedback than before.
When watching the video, the SRAM guy was giving the bottoms a light love-tap with a rubber hammer. I had to beat the crap out of mine with a real hammer to get them to shift. All back together now and seem to be more responsive than before.
