Mavic Equipe Question

Hi,
I have a creaking coming my front wheel and there seems to be quite a bit of play in it so it probably just needs tightening.
However it doesn't have the same mechanism as my ksyrium elites have where you get the little plastic wrench. Anyone know how to do this?
I can see if the QR skewer is removed there is both a nut and an allen key bit so I'm guessing it's something to do with that but if anyone can give me a bit more detail, it would be good

There was a guide to doing this in C+ about six months or so ago which included Mavic so search there ( workshop tips section) or on the Park Tools web site and I am sure you will find it.0
