Hi all,
i have recently got into road cycling and am currently riding a specialized allez elite that i bought second hand from a mate. Problem is that the bike is XL and im only 5' 8! its way too big. so im on a budget but want to get a frame that fits and swap all the bits over. i really like the Planet X team alu mk1 (31,8 seat tube matches what i have now so seatpost and front mech will fit) but planet x only have it in small or large. Does anyone have a small and if so will it fit? the reach seems about right to me but the seat tube is 48cm, that seems really small!
any feedback would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I have a PX Team Alu in Med which I built up for the missus late last year. Alas, she has ridden it about 3 or 4 times before deciding cycling is not for her. Therefore, the bike/frame is pristine so I am looking to get rid. I built the bike with Shimano 105 - 5700 groupset and RS10 wheels but would be willing to strip to the frame and forks.
Regarding Sizing of the Team Alu
Missus is 5 ft 7.5 inches (apparently) and the bike in Medium fitted her well with a 10 cm stem - I remember setting up the bike with a Saddle to BB height of 71.5 cm if that is of any use.

If you're normal proportions I reckon a small would fit you fine - top tube is the most important thing to look at and it's 530mm. I'd be happy with that and I'm 5'10". Seat tube length is irrelevant to the fit unless your seatpost is too short.0

I was thinking small, just because of the top tube length but there is quite a lot of adjustment with the stem i guess. I will have to measure the effective top tube length of my frame and go from there.

can you PM me with the details of the frame, condition, what forks it has, colour and how much you want for it?
thanks for the replies
