Anyone else from the Fylde Coast area...

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone from around the Fylde Coast area would be up for a ride with a newbie?
I have been going out on my own but would like to ride with others, but don't yet feel ready to join a club. Did 15 miles round weeton/lytham/ballam today in just over an hour.
After 6 knee ops I am now able to ride again but need to lose weight before my hip gets any worse and then my only option is a hip replacement and at 29 years old I really don't want that!
Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah, I think Apple Bikes in St Anne's do a females only ride around the fylde, why not give them a ring or call in, I'd offer to ride with you as I'm new to cycling this year but at my age I probably would be a hindrance to you0

yeah - he's 88. Listen dont be put off gong for a ride with a club - they do like taster sessions and tend to go at the spped of the slowest rider - you might meet someone there who like yourself is looking for riding company. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
Or look at the website for Blackpool Clarions, they seem to have rides for all abilities, start from Stanley Park I think,
clint, thanks for the compliment ..... Hope I make it to 88!!!!0 -
Thank you for the replies, I have phoned a local shop 'Wyre Cycles' and am joining in with one of their ladies rides tonight to see how I get on0

I'm in Blackpool and am a member of the Cleveleys club. I've not seen any females on any of their rides though :!:
I've also been invited to the Wyre club, but been too busy lately and lesiure cycling has suffered somewhat recently. Glad you enjoyed your trip out and hope the A run goes as goodShare The Road Event http://www.sharetheroadride.co.uk
