Gonna use strava for the first time today..

Am i right in saying that i need to turn 3g on to turn the app on but then when i start to record the ride i can disable the 3g and just leave the gps on? Is it all pretty straight forward to use?

    Think you can turn 3g off before you leave, you just can't turn Aeroplane move on [iPhone].

    Very easy to use, press go, cycle, press stop and save.

    On my HTC Desire I can run Strava with aeroplane mode enabled. It only disables the standard phone connection and 3G. Means I can go much further without having to worry about the battery.

    Also you don't need to have 3G on when you turn the app on (for the first time yes, but not afterwards), again at least not on my Desire.
