    I'm sure people here know the history. Seems strange to us maybe, particularly at this time, but it apparently only helped their business last time round so maybe they don't mind being linked with drugs. Kinda edgy eh?

    TTHR's posting implied that he didn't know the history. It does seem strange, though thinking about it dispassionately it's easy to reconcile the difference between activities of a sponsor and activities of a team.

    Cycling doesn't always do itself any favours; this is a sport in which a major N American stage race is sponsored by a drug company whose main product is EPO...

    It seems I need to go back to spelling my posts out completely to avoid any confusion in future.

    For the record I do know the history of Festina, I do know what happened in 98, but I don't know who Festina Girl is.

    Anything else needs clarifying let me know.
