Hi Guys,

Does anybody have these shoes?

I am looking at getting these, and I currently use SPD's. I like the fact that I can just use these straight away, and then change to road pedals if I wish later.

Also, I believe that it would be better for me to buy some SPD adaptors for these, so I am not walking directly on the cleats? If so, would this work with the Shimano A520 pedals?

Many Thanks.

I'd just get the Velcro shoe - less to go wrong with them.

You can get a converter to turn a 3 hole shoe into one that takes spd cleats - but that will make it a slightly taller shoe.

Why not just get a decent mtb shoe - nice and stiff so you won't feel the pedal and you can walk in them better.

You don't need an adapter as the shoes take mtb cleats. I think it's some kind of protector for walking on you are talking about? Like these...

Personally I'd sell the mtb pedals, get some road pedals and be done with it. It's not going to cost you a lot more in the end (105 pedals come with cleats and can be had for about £35 plus you can sell your existing pedals - the cleats you are after are about £20 anyway!) and if you're happy spending that much on shoes it's worth getting the benefits of the more stable connection to the bike too :)

I have these shoes and love them. The footbeds and wedge design of the shoe have stopped my left knee collapsing inwards on the downstroke. I'd disagree with cougie and say that the ratchet is worth paying extra over the standard velcro shoes. It allows you to tighten the shoe around your foot much better.
