Hi All,

Here is my 2010 Trek 1.2 bought new.
My first road bike after switching from MTB.
An ideal bike for my budget in 2010, I Just upgraded the wheels to make it look a bit more pleasing to the eye.
It rides well for me and I am very happy with it.

That looks very nice and much more than the actual price tag.

Whats next on the upgrade list?
  • I like it. As you can see I am a big fan of these Trek 1 series bikes as I have a 2011 1.1 myself.
How did you find the upgraded wheels over the stock Bonty items? I have the entry level Bonty wheels myself and am considering a swap to RS10's or something of that ilk...

Nice, I wanted one of these when they came out for my first road bike but ended up getting a 1.1.

In the end I had to get rid of it as I had been badly advised by the shop, and got a frame that was too small
I do miss it... I seem to get attached to all the bikes I've owned

    Hope your enjoying it.

I was only thinking of upgrading to tiagra shifters... otherwise if I can get some money, sell it and buy a Ribble New Sportive Racing Carbon frame bike.

Just fitted them in the last few days so only tried them on the turbo trainer as the weather has been rubbish.

Cant wait to use them on a proper ride soon :D

Luckily you have 9 speed Sora so can switch to 9 speed Tiagra shifters! I have 8 speed 2300 so am stuck! I think I would have to change the whole groupset out to get better shifters, so I may as well replace bike! Or I could try and get like a 2nd hand 5600 105 groupset cheap.
Let's have some feedback on those wheels when you have some miles in them...
