Formula Mega fluid top up

I bought some Formula Mega brakes (brand new) direct from their Italy online store, when the brakes arrived I fitted them to the bike, but the rear brake does not have enough fluid in the system as the pads move but don't make enough contact to apply any braking force.
I've got a formula bleed kit and brake oil, can I simply top up the fluid using the bleed kit and DOT4 oil?
Thanks.

yes. but just pump the lever a few times and they will reset themselves in the correct place."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks.... I've pumped the lever about 100 times thinking this but the pads hardly make contact with the rotor with the lever fully depressed,0 -
leave over night with the lever held compressed then to get the pistons to set.
or you could do it with the wheel out but be aware that you may pop a piston.
a fluid top up should not be needed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks, I'll try taping the levers to the bars overnight and see what happens.... BTW, off topic, what does the gold lever do:
(not the gold reach adjust screw)

pad adjust. ah so you have not read the manual yet.
it moves the pad bite position."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I looked through paperwork to see if I could find what that lever did, but couldn't find it.... I'll have a play with that later today and see what happens! Thanks for your earlier tip....0 -
my megas well the rear was like this when i got it, i did what nic said and left the leaver tied to the bar over night, it worked the brake was fine after...
i did have to bleed mine after trimming the hoses though.. they are quite easy to bleed.www.bearbackbiking.com
