Heads up for those that haven't seen this series or want to see it again. It's on Gold this week. Brilliant series, really funny with great acting and scripts. Seems to have passed lots of people's radar.

never knew they made this tv series

that cover says "vicar of Dibley" so I will avoid it like the black death

and that's another good reason not to have sky tv (apart from paying for tv twice, and the owners should be shot, and funding al those fawning idiots that apparently play sports (football))

UK gold - where the sun never sets on terry and june.........

If you're stupid enough to form that opinion from a dvd box, then you don't deserve to watch the gem that is Early Doors.

I've watched it so many times and I still laugh out loud and spot new things.

Remember, crime won't crack itself, Tango, Whisky, Alpha, Tango!

I might get the DVD out tonight as the Mrs is at her excercise class (she's Swiss and doesn't get it!)

Top stuff, a mate wouldn't stop nagging me until i watched it, I was a little apprehensive because he likes Mrs Browns Boys, to shut him up i borrowed his DVD boxset and watched the lot in one sitting, fantastic!
Mrs Browns boys is still shite though.

At school we were taught to never judge a book by its cover.

Early Doors is an absolute gem.

+1 Great series, observational, witty and laced with pathos - just like my local.

If you've not seen it, give it 20 minutes.

Vicar of Dibley it certainly isn't! Watched it live when it was first broadcast. Genius.

Got that box set, it's great stuff. In parts it reminds me of the sublime "I Didn't Know You Cared" by Peter Tinniswood - anyone remember Carter Brandon and Uncle Mort?
