Cheeky weekender
The missus is away for a couple of nights, so me and a buddy are looking to disappear off biking. Couple of nights in a B&B, probably aiming for a day at a trail centre, and a day out riding the countryside. Anybody suggest where to go, and recommend decent (affordable) accommodation?
At the minute I'm just going to write up a list of trail centres, stick a pin in one then look for somewhere to stay close by. Based in Lincoln btw, so preferably somewhere distant that isn't viable by day trip.
Thanks!

I always try and squeeze a cheeky one in at Coed-y-Brenin once a year.
Small group head down from Scotland on a friday so we get a ride in Friday afternoon, Sat and Sun.
We tend to stay a bit up the coast in Barmouth....bit touristy but loads of B&B's and a bit more choice for beerage and grub. And the drive up the Mwawdach Estuary is cracking. It's also a great place to ride out from for Cader Idris if you want that day long natural stuff.vmgscot0
