Hi All.
I'm checking in from Cavan, Ireland.
I haven't been on a bike in over 10 years, but I went out on Sunday with the wife for a cycle. I never stopped grinning for 2 solid hours! I don't have a bike at the moment, I borrowed one from work. I work one a country estate hotel, and there are 9km of walking trails. Mostly gravel paths, with a few dirt trails. I did find a couple of nice tracks that would suit some mountain biking.
There isn't a big MTB community around where I am, so it'll mostly be me on my own, maybe if I can recruit one or 2 of my friends, there might be a few more.
I don't have a massive budget for a bike, so I'm thinking of something like a Carrera Vulcan, for EUR469, from Halfords. I'll see if I can get them to throw in a helmet as well. Even at that, I'd prefer not to spend that much, being a new hobby and that.
