How do people protect their frames from when the chain comes off the granny ring?
It happens every now and again and happened to me today but instead of scratching the frame, it took a chunk of carbon out of it and a load of paint flaked off a large area around the actual place the chain damaged. It wasn't even under a lot of load.
I was wondering how people protect their frames from this because I now have a bright yellow frame with a big black mess behind the cranks

most good carbon frame come with a chain suck plate.
and sounds like the mech needs setting up."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I've got an inner tube wrapper around the chainstay but nothing in front of the bb. The front mech is set up perfectly (I think). Is shifts quickly and smoothly every time. Just the chain can sometimes fall to the left of the granny ring and land on the frame.Delete my fucking account.0
