Just need some advice/help for people.

The tape on my left side of my bars keeps slipping. It must be the way I hold/put pressure ont he bars. The right side is fine.

Any suggestions or techniques to help try and stop this? I'll try take and post some pics later to better explain what I mean. Thanks

wrap outside to inside on the drops and front to back on the tops, if that makes sense.

keep the tape tight when wrapping and overlap between 1/3 and 1/2 the previous wrap.

I think the problem is you have both sides wound either clock or anti-clockwise. have a look how your hands twist when on the bar. I tend to rotate my hands forwrds so I have right hand side wound clockwise and left hand side anti clockwise - so when i'm twisting my hands forward the action tightens the tape on both sides.

You could also wrap insulation tape to the bars sticky side out prior to taping that area

Left side wound ani clockwise (inwards fromt he bottom), the ight is the oppostie (anti-clock), I'll double check when I get home. It may be out with the double sided sticky tape...

Use some No Nails or Sticks lIke S .... t under the tape: sounds bizarre but Gilbert's mechanics did it last year when he was winning everything and Cancellara's do it all the time.

Wiggo's lot actually Uhu (the stuff for model aeroplanes) - does the same job but is very slighty easier to remove. Once you get peeling both come off quite easily though.

Alternatively, don't hold the bars so tight - you should hold them like you are making love to a beautiful woman, not bashing one out in a train station toilet ........

Yossie, I'd get that if I did it on both sides of the bar, but it's just the left side. It's more when I am resting my hans on the bars.

I know that the tape has a bit of a hard time gripping because of the shape on the bars: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=19566
